FAQ

Do I need a contract to access the Intelligence Marketplace?
No contract is required to access the Intelligence Marketplace — it is fully self-serve from day one. Register at dm.bigdbm.com, upload a sample file or specify your target audience, and within minutes you can see match rates, quality scores, and what enrichment fields are available for your data. You pay for what you use, with no minimum commitments and no sales cycle standing between you and the data. For teams that want to evaluate before purchasing, BIGDBM offers sample outputs so you can validate the data quality against your own benchmarks before spending a dollar. Enterprise agreements are available for high-volume or recurring use cases, but for most teams the pay-as-you-go marketplace model is the fastest path from need to activation.
What is WeVi and how does the pixel work?
WeVi (Website Visitor ID) is a lightweight JavaScript pixel that you install on your website — similar to a Google Analytics tag — that fires when a visitor lands on any page you choose to track. In real time, WeVi resolves the visitor's IP address and device signals against BIGDBM's identity graph to return a matched consumer or B2B profile: name, email, phone, mailing address, demographic signals, and behavioral attributes. This means every anonymous visitor who was previously invisible to you can now be identified, scored for intent, and routed into your CRM, ad platform, or email campaign immediately. WeVi is particularly powerful for B2B use — resolving company visitors to named decision-makers — and for retargeting website abandoners who never filled out a form. Setup takes minutes; activation can happen the same day.
What is the difference between PQL and EQL?
PQL (Phone Quality Level) and EQL (Email Quality Level) are BIGDBM's proprietary pre-campaign quality scoring systems for the two most common outreach channels. PQL evaluates each phone number for carrier status (active vs. disconnected), connection type (mobile, landline, VoIP), line health, and DNC (Do Not Call) compliance — so you know before dialing or texting whether the number is contactable and compliant. EQL evaluates each email address for deliverability (will it bounce?), recency (when was it last active?), inbox placement likelihood, and whether it's associated with a disposable or role-based address pattern. Both scores are returned on a tiered scale so you can set quality thresholds for your campaigns — for example, only contact phone numbers above PQL 70 and email addresses above EQL 80. Using both before a campaign launch typically reduces bounce rates, improves sender reputation, and lowers cost-per-response significantly.
What intent data is available in the marketplace?
The marketplace provides observed online behavioral signals — URL visit activity across millions of U.S. digital properties — classified by IAB content category and tied to real, resolved consumer and B2B identities in BIGDBM's graph. This is not modeled or inferred intent: it is actual observed browsing behavior from consented data sources, refreshed daily so the signals reflect what people are actively researching right now. Categories span financial services, automotive, real estate, healthcare, technology, retail, and dozens more at the IAB tier-1 and tier-2 level. Intent feeds can be pulled on demand through the marketplace UI or scheduled as a recurring data delivery. Because intent is linked to resolved identities — not just device IDs or anonymous cookies — you can immediately match intent signals against your CRM, build suppression lists, or feed them into an outreach workflow without a separate resolution step.
Can I access healthcare and sports data directly through the marketplace?
Yes — both are fully accessible through the marketplace without a separate contract or custom order. Healthcare data in the marketplace includes healthcare professional segments (physicians, nurses, specialists by NPI and taxonomy code) sourced from CMS and verified directories, as well as patient condition segments sourced from opt-in health and wellness platforms — all compliant with applicable privacy regulations. Sports data is powered by FANOVA, BIGDBM's proprietary sports fan intelligence product built on first-party behavioral data: actual fan activity, purchase history, event attendance, and collector behavior — not demographic inference. Sports segments cover professional leagues, college athletics, niche sports, and merchandise/ticket buyer profiles. Both datasets are identity-resolved to BIGDBM's full consumer graph, so you can combine healthcare or sports audiences with standard demographic, geographic, or behavioral filters in a single marketplace order.
How is FANOVA different from standard demographic data?
Standard demographic data infers sports interest from self-reported survey data, ZIP code demographics, or third-party interest segments that are modeled and often months out of date. FANOVA is built on first-party behavioral signals: actual ticket purchases, merchandise transactions, venue check-ins, licensed product registrations, fantasy league activity, and verified fan community memberships — all sourced directly from sports entities and fan platforms with consent. The result is an audience of people who demonstrably engage with a sport, team, or athlete — not just people who checked "interested in sports" on a form two years ago. FANOVA audiences are also cross-sport linkable, so you can build segments like "MLB fans who also follow NFL" or "college basketball fans in the Southeast" with precision that generic interest data cannot match. When a sports sponsorship, merchandise launch, or broadcast campaign needs to reach actual fans, FANOVA is the data asset that makes the difference.
